MINISTRIES FROM INFANCY AND BEYOND
Trinity Presbyterian Church in McKinney has a full range of opportunities for infants 6 weeks old to senior adults. Our age-level ministries are led by a highly qualified team of professional educators who lead departments in Early Childhood, Elementary, Junior and Senior High, Adults and Seniors.
Come tour our various classes and meet the department directors: Helen Fitzhugh, EC; Danielle Coleman, CM; Miriam Ross, JH; Tami Voyles, SH & College; and Dr. Phyllis Tippit, adults.
The Early Childhood Ministry wing is ready for our youngest. The Elementary Ministry has a new curriculum. The Youth Ministry meets in The Loft, a youth-oriented space that is inviting and fun. Led by two experienced directors, it offers both spiritual formation and opportunities for fellowship and service. Moreover, a mid-week youth program, Logos, starts Sept. 5th. It features a sit-down meal, recreation, study, and worship.
Additionally, we offer a variety of Small Groups as well as Disciple Bible Study, an intensive 9-month Bible study for adults. And we also have service and fellowship (activity-oriented) Small Groups for those who want to put their faith to work.
The Music Ministry at TPC has 5 musical groups: choir, orchestra, PraiseKids, the Trinity Ringers and a teen praise team. Children, adults, music interns and various guest artists make our Music Ministry a diverse and high-energy environment.
AFFILIATE AND CARING MINISTRIES
Trinity Presbyterian Church is an Earth Care Congregation and we are committed to the “Earth Care Pledge.” We have a community garden and the Creation Care Team organizes several educational and environmentally-conscious activities throughout the year.
Additionally, TPC is a Stephen Ministry congregation with over 20 active Stephen Ministers. We offer monthly meetings such as “MOPS” and “Open Hearts: LGBTQ Family and Friends ” and “4th Friday Senior Luncheon” to name a few.
There are plenty of opportunities at TPC for people of all ages to be involved in local and global Missions. You can choose a one-time participation or ongoing involvement. We host situationally homeless families four times a year for a week through Family Promise. In partnership with other churches, Trinity sponsors and builds one home a year with Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, crews from Trinity help families restore their homes and churches after natural disasters through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
There is always something going on at TPC! A Bible study, a retreat, a youth outing, a children’s activity, a yoga class, golf tournament, pickle ball, family fun night, youth lock-in, a musical, a quilting group, and the list of events goes on.
Trinity Presbyterian Church is an intergenerational church with active ministries for everyone. We are intentionally inclusive and we believe that God uses the leadership and teaching gifts of both women and men. We hope you will take the time to explore the many opportunities for spiritual growth, service, sharing and community available to you here. Come and meet our church family. We welcome you!
