Do you want to reduce your risk of falling
while increasing your dexterity and strength?
J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) is rolling out a program in March called A Matter of Balance. This is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. You will learn a few tips about your surroundings and strengthening your body with exercise. Karen Mitchell and Juli Smith will be the coaches for this nationally recognized program. There is no cost to take this class, but we require a commitment to attend.
Classes are appropriate for:
1) Seniors concerned about falls
2) Seniors who have fallen
3) Seniors who restrict activities because of concerns about falling
4) Seniors interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength

Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30am – 12 noon meeting at the Bazaar room # 302. THIS PROGRAM IS NOW FULL, however we have a waiting list.
