Community Health Clinic is a volunteer run organization that provides basic healthcare for the uninsured in the surrounding area. CHC believes that healthcare is a basic human need. Their dedicated staff and volunteers are now continuing that dream to move forward to a larger goal of expanding to meet that basic need of the under-served in the community.
The Community Health Clinic opened its doors in August 2004. A dream that began with Mary Nelle Cummins has become a medical home for thousands of patients throughout the years. Access to care is difficult for 1 in 5 Texans who are without medical insurance. Due to the exorbitant cost, many people have no choice but to delay acute care and for the most part forego preventative care.
TPC supports this mission because they lovingly serve a population in desperate need of healing. People who would otherwise go without care—until an emergency. If you would like to make a financial donation to support the Community Health Clinic, make your check out to TPC with “CHC” in the memo line and place your check in the offering plate.
