During the Summer, the Trinity Choir takes a summer break from practice and leading us in worship. In their absence, the Music Ministry invites a variety of guest musicians to sing and play in our worship services. The choir returns to practice on Aug. 2 and worship on Aug. 6.
This Sunday, June 25th we will have John and Robin Carrington singing during worship.
John and Robin have been married for 29 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Matthew and Grant. John has played the piano since age 8 and has played and accompanied in church since junior high school. John served as Church Accompanist at the First United Methodist Church, Hallsville, Texas for about two years. Although John has performed as a professional musician in many different venues, he most enjoys using his talents for the Lord.
Robin attended and received her Vocal Performance degrees from Baylor University and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Robin has performed in Opera, community theatre, church productions, recitals, and symphonic recitals and has also directed in many of those same venues. She has been a vocal music teacher for over 35 years and most recently taught voice at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Robin has had a lifelong commitment to Christ and has used her God-given talents in His service.
