The Music Ministry at Trinity Presbyterian Church of McKinney Texas uses a blended style with traditional and some contemporary music.
The music ministry at TPC offers various opportunities to people of all ages. Below are the different musical ensembles:
PraiseKids Jr (grades K-1) and PraiseKids Sr (grades 2-5), meet weekly at 5:00 pm on Sunday afternoons during the school year. Their focus in on musical training through singing, motion, and playing instruments. Spiritual growth is the overarching objective of all activities.
BHLU (Because He Loves Us), our teen Praise Team, is made up of both singers and instrumentalists who meet weekly after LOGOS on Wednesday night, and sing for youth TYME (Sunday School) each week. They also perform occasional special music for worship.
Trinity Orchestra is open to youth and adult musicians with orchestra or band experience. The orchestra practices each Sunday afternoon during the school year at 5:00 pm in the Chapel, and play in Sunday services once a month.
Adult opportunities include a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles:
Trinity Choir meets each Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Great Hall. All singers are welcome. The choir provides musical selections and hymn leadership each week. Trinity Choir also presents special seasonal musical selections.
Trinity Ringers, a handbell group, meets on Sunday afternoons at 6:00 pm. They ring in worship services about 6-7 times per year. New ringers are added as positions become open.
