Trinity has distributed food to hungry McKinney families at our hub at Holy Family School since June 27, 2020 as part of the Community Lifeline Center “Sack Summer Hunger” program.
Beginning September 5, 2020, the new Trinity food distribution hub will be situated in the Trinity parking lot near the McKinney Little Free Pantry. Surprisingly, the McKinney Little Free Pantry in our parking lot is the busiest pantry in McKinney. Therefore, we think it very appropriate to locate our food distribution hub in our own backyard, where there is a great need.
As before, we will distribute food on Saturday mornings from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Volunteers are welcome to come help us help our hungry neighbors. With the ending of summer, we are also changing the theme of our program to Feeding Friends & Families.
Our involvement in the CLC feeding program has allowed us to help deliver more than 500 needed meals. With the uncertainty of our current times, job losses, and lost wages, the need to help feed our neighbors is now even greater than before. As a church that cares for others, we will meet this call and do our part to help those less blessed than ourselves.
Come help us – you can volunteer, add food to our Little Free Pantry, or donate to the McKinney Little Free Pantry. To volunteer, simply sign up on the Signup Genius page and come help us help others.
