Trinity’s vibrant prayer ministry is one of the many ways that we are Growing in Faith Together. Our congregation values praying for and with each other. Today on the blog, we are sharing a prayer guide from one of our Daily Prayer Ministry leaders, Jessie Rodriguez.
Please join us in praying for these prompts today as we navigate our Stewardship season.
Prayer Guide:
Pray that our Stewardship Committee will be guided by the Holy Spirit throughout the adoption of Trinity’s church budget.
Pray for Trinity’s congregation. May we realize the importance of a structured church budget.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide our congregation in practicing “Extravagant Generosity” in support of the church budget.
Pray that ALL members of Trinity will be guided by the Holy Spirit to sign a “Faith Pledge” so that a reliable church budget can be adopted.
Pray that each member of our Trinity family will be reminded that everything we own is a gift from God.
Pray that each member of our Trinity family will reflect on what the scriptures tell us about giving.
Pray that we will all be reminded that our children’s perspective on Financial Stewardship is being formed by what we say and do.
Pray that this season of Stewardship will be a time when we all truly reflect upon our many blessings.
Pray that this season of Stewardship will promote unity in our congregation as we all work together in the common goal of becoming disciples of Jesus Christ.
Pray that this season of Stewardship will be a season of gratitude: to our Lord, for all God has done and is doing in our lives.
Prayer:
Lord,
Your word tells us that our lives do not consist in the abundance of our own possessions, but rather in the abundance that is you. We thank you, Lord, for all the ways in which you have blessed us, in all the ways you’ve blessed us with your abundant, extravagant generosity. You have done wondrous things in our community, and you are still not done!
Guide us in this season as we prepare and plan our church budget next year. We pray for a clear vision and abundant provision. We pray for courage in our dreaming, wisdom in our planning, and hope amidst the unknown. We know that extravagant generosity is not easy, but it is what you have called us to do. May we live into that truth.
Help us to trust you in this season with our time, our resources, and our commitments. Help us to give with extravagant generosity. Not only for us, Lord, but for the glory of your name. Teach us to follow your ways so that we might teach the future generations and show us your generosity so that we might respond the same.
