Pickleball
Join us on Mondays from 5:30 – 8:30 pm to play (or watch others play) Pickleball in the Great Hall. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sport for all ages. We welcome beginners and experienced players. For those who are able, there is an opportunity to make a donation to cover the facilities cost.
Pickleball has become a very popular game among seniors and others. It is a paddle sport that combines some elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It can be played with two, three, or four players who use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net.
Feel free to drop by to watch and/or to play and cheer some of our Pickleball experts.
Yoga
Do you find yourself feeling rushed during the day? Would you like to take an hour for yourself and just let your mind relax and allow your body to recharge? Consider joining us for a Gentle Yoga class taught by Trinity member Ralph Colberg on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 am – noon in the McCoy Chapel. The class uses yoga props (chair, strap, and block) to aid in practicing gentle yoga.
The focus of the class is on gentle stretching, spine and hip mobility, balance, and deep breathing. Please bring your own mat, strap, and block. If you are a first time attendee, please arrive at 10:45 am before your first class for a brief introduction and orientation. There is no cost for this class but appreciation offerings are accepted.
We also have TWO NEW classes taught by Trinity member Renea Breashears. Adult classes are Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm in McCoy Chapel. Please bring your own equipment (mat, strap, and/or block). The cost of class is $7 per person. Renea will accept your payment in class. If you need childcare, please contact Helen Fitzhugh (hfitzhugh@tpcmckinney.org) by noon on Tuesday.
Every yoga participant is required to sign a waiver.
