Junior High

For Youth

The Junior High Ministry is under the direction of Miriam Ross, Director of Youth Ministry. It includes students from local middle schools in 6th through 8th grades.

Retreats

GAP (God’s Awesome People): GAP Weekends, formally known as Spring Youthquakes, is sponsored by Grace Presbytery, and gives youth another opportunity to be at camp other than the summer to experience outdoor games, recreation, small group bible study and new friends.

Summer Camps

Youth Junior High Celebration at MoRanch

Youth Celebration is a conference filled with exploration of faith, worship, new friends and recreation. This conference begins on Sunday evening with the “big hello” and closes with the “big goodbye” on Friday morning. Conference activities include energizers, keynote presentations, worship and music, small groups, afternoon recreation and evening vespers. Nestled on 500-acres along the spring-fed Guadalupe River, Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly is located in the heart of the beautiful Hill Country in Hunt, Texas.

Bound Together Book Club

Women’s Ministry’s Bound Together Book Club meets six times a year to discuss a popular book.

Daily Prayer Ministry

Our congregation values praying for and with one another. With this deep conviction, we formed our newest congregational ministry: Daily Prayer Ministry. Every day, every member will be held in prayer. Praying for others is a privilege and honor. It is a holy encounter with our Lord and Savior. Not only will it change their lives, but our lives as well.

World Wear Project: Big Blue Bin

Trinity is partnering with the World Wear Project to raise money for our Youth Ministry while helping the environment. The materials from seemingly unusable textiles are then up-cycled to make something altogether new and usable.

The Senior Adult Ministry at Trinity Presbyterian Church of McKinney Texas is also referred to as Just Older Youth or J.O.Y. This group is a great way to connect to others here at the church.

Youth Mission of the Month

Youth Missions

The Junior High and Senior High youth both have at least one opportunity during their school career to do a mission trip. Currently the Junior High goes on a mission trip every other year while the Senior High youth goes on annual mission trips. Mission work takes us worldwide; however, it need not take us away from local needs.

Trinity’s Organic Good Earth Garden

Caring Ministries

The Caring Ministries are congregational support ministries that provide lay pastoral care and fellowship to our church members. They are led by Deacons and their associated committees.

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry is an active group engaged in fun, fellowship, study, and discovery. It is open to women of all ages to participate in Bible studies and events, plus to support missions.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at TPC utilizes a blended style, mixing both traditional and contemporary hymns and spiritual songs. We welcome people of all ages to our musical groups.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry is a family-focused ministry where men support and encourage each other, striving to become better dads and grandfathers in Christian fellowship.

Youth on Sundays

The Youth (6thto 12th grade) gather in the Loft on Sundays at 9:30 am for TYME (Trinity Youth Morning Edition). The Youth Ministry welcomes students from various Middle Schools (Jr. High) and High Schools (Senior High) in the area.
