Every summer, our Youth participate in numerous trips to learn more about God, community, and each other. These trips range from conferences to mission trips and seek to grow our youth in faith and service.
In 2022, the senior high youth went to a conference in Montreat, North Carolina and our junior high youth experienced serving in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Learn more about the trips below.

MONTREAT YOUTH CONFERENCE: MORE THAN ENOUGH
The 9th-12th graders headed to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Montreat, North Carolina to participate in Montreat Conference Center’s 2022 youth conference: More Then Enough. While there, they enjoyed recreation, small group, key notes, and worship with other Presbyterians from all over the United States. They stayed in two beautiful houses and cooked their own meals. This is truly a trip that brought our youth to the “thin” place of Montreat, where the mountains touch the heavens and the waters flow with such beauty that it takes your breath away. Add a few energizers to the mix and this conference is one that they will never forget!

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA FOR A MISSION TRIP WITH FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OKLAHOMA CITY
Our 6th-8th graders embarked on a mission trip to Oklahoma City, where they learned about what it means to work alongside others in long term mission. They learned the difference between short and long term mission and why each of these has their positive and negative outcomes on the communities in which they serve. They did mission work with local missions and had a small feel for what it’s like to run a mission organization. Partnering with Oklahoma City Presbyterian Church, part of their trip included visiting the OKC bombing site to grasp an understanding about how violent acts affect a community, but how God and faith got the people of OKC and their church community through tragedy. They also had a free afternoon of team building and fun, as well as late night laughs and games at the church where we are staying!

Youth Celebration is a conference filled with exploration of faith, worship, new friends and recreation. Conference activities include energizers, keynote presentations, worship and music, small groups, afternoon recreation and evening vespers. Nestled on 500-acres along the spring-fed Guadalupe River, Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly is located in the heart of the beautiful Hill Country in Hunt, Texas.
