The Junior High Ministry is under the direction of Miriam Ross. It includes students from local middle schools in 6th through 8th grades.
The Junior High are going to Memphis! This mission program includes volunteering at 4 to 6 worksites and debriefing programs that include Bible study, group discussion, and art projects as a means of reflection. Towards the end of the week groups will go to the National Civil Rights Museum as a way of putting their experiences in Memphis into a historical context and an ongoing national conversation. Groups will also be led in a discernment of a plan on how to “take the experience home” with them, along with a closing worship. Thursday is a free afternoon so we will be doing something fun and exciting. If you have been to Memphis and know of something you would love to do – see Miriam Ross while she is exploring ideas and activities!
Splash Night is an opportunity for youth to experience wholesome summertime fun in the pool at members’ homes. It includes pool time, Bible study and a snack. Locations are posted on the TPC Youth bulletin board or you can contact Miriam Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org for the address.
GAP (God’s Awesome People): GAP Weekends, formally known as Spring Youthquakes, is sponsored by Grace Presbytery, and gives youth another opportunity to be at camp other than the summer to experience outdoor games, recreation, small group bible study and new friends. In 2020, the youth will be going to GAP March 27-29. UPDATE 3/16/20 – This event has been cancelled due to coronavirus concerns.
